In this video I detail how I prioritize tasks based on situation when setting up a camp. This could be applied to a survival situation, or anytime you find yourself outdoors for an extended period of time.

There are many important factors to consider when analyzing your situation. Some main ones are Water, Food, Shelter and Fire. In this video we will be focusing on Shelter and Fire. In videos to come, I will go into more depth on these, as well as Water and Food.

Youtube user NoMoreOp4 runs down some very useful skills and tasks that should become second nature because when the SHTF living on the land will become absolutely necessary.

Planning wilderness operations for fun or in survival situations require planning. Things to bring, camps to set up, water supplies, food storage and safety are all things that need to be taken into consideration. Prioritizing tasks based on situation you may find yourself require flexibility and the ability to think and make decisions rapidly

Some of the comments brought up some valid points. Everyone has their own way of doing things and making the decisions based on personal knowledge is very key. Some things that NoMoreOp4 brings up are mostly busy task, IMHO, I’m a firm believer in smashing fire wood which is much quicker than sawing.
